Our mission

“Enough is Enough supports Oneida community members affected by addictions in their desire to bring hope, create awareness, and promote healing and belonging by means of reconnecting with culturally based traditional values and teachings.”

Our vision

“a sustainable, culturally healthier, and stronger reconnected community.”

About us: Enough is Enough was started by concerned Oneida nation members seeing the opiate and drug epidemic ravish our community. We came together to say enough is enough. We joined the Sacred Fire Movement on October 15th. Two of our young men lit our sacred fire in downtown Oneida, originally to be lit for 30 days, it has now been burning for 60 days. Within this 60 days we have walked through our housing sites, hosted community feasts to bring awareness to the drug epidemic, and have listened to the stories of our people, and have had ceremonies within the community. We are a group of community members wanting to reach out to those affected by this horrific epidemic. Our goal is to open a freedom house in Oneida. The freedom house will be used to help those addicted to seek help through the use of ceremony and cultural teachings. We will provide a 24 hour safe space that community members can utilize to help themselves through their identity.

Our fire is here in the tipi!

The fire before the snow came.
